KEMET Realizes a Comprehensive Cloud Supply Planning and Order Promising Platform

In this interactive question and answer session, KEMET, Inspirage and Oracle will share insights on the challenges that KEMET faced and how they were resolved with the Oracle Planning Cloud platform. Their new solution helped KEMET achieve more accurate order promising and allowed them to consistently provide customers with the materials they need on demand. The panel will discuss how the Oracle Cloud solution allowed for:

  • Movement of sales order quoting/promising processes with all legacy functionalities to the cloud
  • Replacement of managing production capacities by each product with new machine capacity and consumption hours model to provide optimal ship dates.
  • Reduction of manual expedites and capacity adjustments
  • Enablement of automatic pull-ins of sales orders based on business selected priorities and goals

Vickie Bennett, Senior Manager Ceramic Central Planning, KEMET

Vickie has over 40 years of experience with planning, manufacturing and systems. Her hands-on experience coupled with APICS CPIM certification has provided a solid foundation enabling Vickie to be effective in developing systems and strategy for the future.

Amitava Shukla, Senior Manager, Global ERP Supply Chain, KEMET

Equipped with an ERP consulting background, Electronics Engineer experience and seasoned experience in digital transformation and supply chain innovation, Amit manages a global team of business analysts and multiple ERP vendors for KEMET. He has successfully designed and managed complex supply chain business models involving manufacturing facilities across the globe and multi-country demands.

Joe Driscoll, Senior Director, Business Intelligence, Tantalum Business Group, KEMET

Joe has 36 years of experience in operations and planning with responsibility through his career for both individual site and multi-site operations. His areas of expertise have included system integrations and alignment, on-time delivery, inventory management, capacity management, demand management and operational effectiveness. Joe has supported over 20 implementations of order management and ERP systems at both Legacy KEMET factories as well as those obtained through acquisitions and mergers. Currently, Joe is responsible for leading the Capacity Management activities for the Tantalum Business Group which includes manufacturing sites in four different countries in Asia and North America.

Michelle Ashmore, BCBG Planning Manager, Specialty, KEMET

Michelle is a Specialty Planning Manager with 24 years of experience working for KEMET. Her roles have crossed many different areas including:  Production, Customer Service / Forecast Manager, Private Label Planner, Logistics Manager, and Central Planning. Michelle’s broad spectrum of experience and focus on customer service brings seasoned perspective to projects, day to day activities, and support for KEMET’s internal and external customers.

Harish Wadhwa, Director, SCP Product Management, Oracle

Harish has over 18 years of SCP Product domain and consulting experience with Oracle SCP SaaS and the on-premise suite of products including DM, S&OP, SP, GOP, BM and PS. As Director of SCP Product Management, Harish is part of the Customer Direct team working with strategic customer accounts and partners with the primary objectives being successful implementation and use of the Oracle SCP products and improvement of Oracle’s product offerings.

Rob Knapp, Sr. Vice President, North America Consulting, Inspirage

As a recognized industry leader, Rob joined Inspirage from Oracle where he was Consulting Vice President. In more than 15 years with Oracle, Rob was the national leader responsible for all consulting business related to Oracle’s “Edge” Applications with a specific focus on Oracle value chain planning, value chain execution, and product life cycle management. Rob brings depth to Inspirage clients across supply chain management areas based on his experience advising many Fortune 500 firms.

Sambit Misra, Sr. Practice Director, SCM, Inspirage
