Oracle Sunsets Support for EBS 12.1 in 2021

It’s Time to Upgrade

There has been a big push recently by Oracle to move its customers to the cloud with the aim of saving them time and money. In addition, the pandemic has also driven many companies to invest in the cloud. However, many businesses are unable to transition from their current, on-prem EBS system due to reasons such as:

  • A recent EBS implementation resulting in an unwillingness to invest time and money for yet another migration.
  • Business leaders who may not feel comfortable with the cloud data model due to data security and privacy concerns.
  • An organization’s existing system which was tailored to suit their business needs so well that they do not want to cause disruption.

The reality is that for a particular group of Oracle clients – those who have implemented and remained on Oracle EBS 12.1 – Premier support is scheduled to end at the end of this year (2021). By upgrading to EBS 12.2, Premier support will be provided through 2031.

Inspirage has helped many clients with the transition from EBS 12.1 to 12.2. We understand that navigating the transformed functionality – with new options to explore and implement and the litany of new enterprise command centers – can be daunting for even the most seasoned professionals. Outside of the expected application changes to 12.2, the latest version introduces an entirely new database design. This innovative design enhances many other properties and enables a drastic reduction in downtime due to patch applications.

Inspirage can ensure that when transitioning to EBS 12.2 all your existing functionality will continue to operate as expected and that you will have the ability to leverage new functionality, whether out-of-the-box or with the aid of one of Inspirage’s innovative IP solutions, to streamline your processes. Now is the perfect time to plan ahead and move to EBS 12.2. Not only can Inspirage help with the implementation, but our team can ease the implementation process with one of the following offerings:

  1. Organization Readiness Assessment: In our experience, assessing, managing, and being prepared for change and its impact on an organization provides a better success rate for any corporate initiative. This exercise will help identify potential sources of resistance in the planning stages and develop a mitigation strategy to minimize change risk.
  2. Benchmarking Services: Establish realistic performance goals and a clear supply chain vision while identifying quick wins for value chain improvements. This exercise will also compare your performance against your competitors.
  3. Partnership: There are a few initiatives where Oracle mandates that both Customers and SI’s (Systems Integrators) participate together. We are happy to partner with you and include you in Oracle-led initiatives.

Putting It All Together

As the Integrated Supply Chain Specialists, with recognition from Gartner, IDC, and winners of Oracle’s ERPM (Enterprise Resource Planning & Management) & Supply Chain Management Cloud Partner of the Year (Global) awards in recent years, Inspirage is uniquely qualified to be your success partner in any transformation journey you are considering, whether you’re upgrading your on-prem system or have decided to move to the cloud where continuous improvement is built-in.
