Medical Aesthetic Device Company Gives Its PLM Solution a Complete Makeover in the Cloud
Our client is a leading US-based global medical aesthetic device company. Its technologies enable physicians to provide advanced energy-based solutions for a range of medical-aesthetic applications, including treatment of benign vascular and pigmented lesions, scar revision, facial resurfacing, wrinkle reduction, acne, spider veins, cellulite reduction, body shaping, and tattoo and hair removal. The company — which has operations in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and Asia — was a long-time user of on-premises Oracle Agile and E-Business Suite (EBS) solutions.
The company sought to modernize its enterprise business platforms and selected its existing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution as the first applications to migrate to the cloud. The move to Oracle Product Management Cloud would allow for increased business process integration. The organization would also benefit from continued product functionality adoption. This involved a technical migration of Item, Document, and bill of material (BOM) content and enabling revised workflows and key automations, including product change approvals and item governance processes.
Before working with Inspirage, our client had already utilized components of the Oracle Cloud to support its item master information related to financial management. Following that implementation, it decided to seek a new partner to help bring its PLM solution to the cloud. One of the company’s quality managers had worked with Inspirage previously on an important PLM implementation. Based on that successful experience, Inspirage came highly recommended. In addition to Oracle Cloud Product Management, Inspirage implemented our Agile PLM Archive Utility to preserve product history and retain product data.
