Alcoholic Beverages Distributor Cheers Its New and Improved Oracle EPBCS Implementation
North Americans love their alcoholic beverages. Whether it is champagne, beer, sauvignon blanc, or whiskey, wine, and spirits enthusiasts have a wide variety of drinks and drink makers to choose from throughout Canada and the United States. The sheer volume of retailers and wholesalers makes the industry a difficult setting for new brands to break into. A recent client of ours is one of the few that has excelled in the alcoholic beverage industry — a three-plus billion-dollar industry in North America — from day one. Eager to get to the next level of success and eliminate inefficient work processes, the family-owned business recently turned to Inspirage. The organization needed our assistance optimizing its existing enterprise performance management (EPM) solution and partaking in its full suite of business-building benefits.
When the client reached out to Inspirage, it was using Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS), an EPM solution implemented by a different third-party vendor back in 2014. Relative to other solutions on the market, EPBCS offers a wide range of capabilities and efficiencies related to expense management, such as compensation planning, strategic workforce planning, cash flow planning, and more. However, the original implementation was custom-built, so the company was not leveraging the full potential of EPBCS. Aware that the system had additional modules beyond those it was utilizing, the client wanted to embrace all of the solution’s out-of-the-box functionalities.
