Adhesives and Moisturizers Manufacturer Sticks to Its Plan and Transforms Business Enterprise Systems with the Oracle Cloud
Our client — a household-name manufacturer of adhesives, moisturizers, and tools for consumers and businesses — has a strong record of growth and evolution. These objectives are central to the organization’s core values; however, some of its legacy systems, processes, and technologies — including back office, planning, and inventory software — were at least 20 years old. Many had been custom-built to manage a variety of exception scenarios over the years. The company hoped to implement industry-leading practices, sunset the manual work performed with spreadsheets, and reevaluate and transform legacy systems to support continued global growth.
In addition to those goals, the company wanted to reduce the number of separate applications required to support the business and eliminate costs associated with supporting older, heavily customized solutions. Other significant priorities — improving new part introduction programs, overcoming pandemic-induced supply chain woes, and gaining the ability to satisfy unique requirements from top customers — were top of mind for the project stakeholders.
After working with Inspirage on a Global Design strategy that involved hundreds of meetings with numerous stakeholders, the company opted for a two-phase, end-to-end cloud transformation. The innovative solutions would provide a holistic view of business processes while standardizing, globalizing, and automating day-to-day operations with minimal disruption. Oracle Cloud solutions would also improve customer and partner interactions with nearly 800 employees worldwide. In addition, the company planned to deploy the Inspirage Enterprise Control Tower (ECT) – a proprietary solution that maximizes the extensibility framework of Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) – to integrate cross-platform analytics.
